NO CONTRACTS

Windsong Dojo doesn’t require lengthy contracts or hidden fees; tuition is simply paid each month, whether you attend one class or all of them.

Unlike most martial arts schools, Windsong Dojo is not a commercial business, but operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to enriching our community. All instruction is offered freely, not sold as a service or product. The teacher/student relationship is our primary concern, and money will never be the central interest between them.

NO RANKING OR TESTING FEES

We also feel that ranking is a matter of recognition and responsibility, not a financial obligation, and as such we don’t charge ranking or testing fees.

DISCOUNTS

Get 10% off your memberships when you enroll with another family member, and 15% off if you enroll three or more.

6 MONTH CHALLENGE

If you decide to join Windsong Dojo, we recommend that you be willing to commit yourself to training for at least 6 months. We’ve found that students who are willing to make such a commitment can expect realistic and long-lasting benefits from training.

KAZE UTA BUDO KAI

Membership in our parent organization, Kaze Uta Budo Kai, means your rank and class hours will be recognized in scores of other member dojos across the country. The cost of the Kaze Uta Budo Kai membership is $60 annually.

MISSING CLASS

Once you have joined and must miss class for over a calendar month, for any reason, please notify us, if possible before the absence, so that we can adjust your tuition.

ENROLLMENT STANDARDS

Since the arts that we practice are concerned with what the Zen tradition calls “the great matter of Life and Death,” be advised that we reserve the right to apply selective standards for enrollment and we reserve the right to expel any student for misbehavior and unethical conduct; as such, we require that all students behave as mature and conscientious adults and all persons who enter the training hall are expected to follow the dojo rules of safety and decorum.

Basic Membership Join 1 art — Aikido, Judo or Jodo $95 + $60 = $155 the first month (includes uniform, book, KUBK dues and first month’s tuition).  $95 per month thereafter plus.  Also thereafter, the $60 Kaze Uta Budo Kai membership will be billed annually based your start date.

Budoka Membership Join 2 or more arts — Aikido, Judo, Jodo $145 + $60 = $205 the first month (includes uniform, book, KUBK dues and first month’s tuition).  $145 per month thereafter plus.  Also thereafter, the $60 Kaze Uta Budo Kai membership will be billed annually based your start date. **Please note that due to the nature of Jodo, we require that all candidates for Jodo studies be at least a green belt rank in either Aikido or Judo, and upon admission you will be required to purchase a proper jo and bokken

Iaido $65 the first month, $60 per month thereafter. Please note that iaido is not included in the Budoka Membership nor does it require KUBK dues.
