Windsong
Dojo offers a unique and rich training environment with high
standards of quaility and commitment.
Since
the arts that we practice are concerned with what the Zen
tradition calls “the great matter of Life and Death,”
be advised that we reserve the right to apply selective standards
for enrollment and we reserve the right to expell any student
for misbehavior and unethical conduct; as such, we require
that all students behave as mature and conscientious adults
and all persons who enter the training hall are expected to
follow the dojo rules of safety and decorum.
Upon
deciding to join Windsong Dojo we advise that you should be
willing to commit yourself to training for a minimum of 6
months. We have found that students who are willing to make
such a commitment can expect realistic and long lasting benefits
from training.
Be
advised that Windsong Dojo is not a normal business and does
not function as one—we have no due dates for payments,
no salaried employees, and we have no contracts, other than
our own commitment to one another and to the training. All
instruction is voluntary, and all cleaning and facility
up-keep is the responsibility of the student body.
Once you have joined and must miss class for over a calendar month, for any reason, we ask that you notify Nick Lowry, if possible before the absence, so that we can adjust your tuition.
Once you have joined, you may attend as many or a few classes as you wish, but attending any class in a calendar month requires the regular monthly tuition.

Tuition
Tuition is posted on a monthly basis. Whether you attend one class in a month, or every class in a month, you will be responsible for tuition for that entire month.
Membership in the international organization is due annually. Your first month’s tuition and registration include payment of the international dues for the first year. You will receive a separate bill from Fugakukai each year thereafter.
To join one art (Aikido or
Judo):
Call (405) 943-6246 for current tuition and registration.
To join two or more arts (Aikido,
Judo & Jyodo):
Call (405) 943-6246 for current tuition and registration.
Please note that due to the nature of Jyodo, we require that
all candidates for Jyodo studyies be at least a green belt
rank in either Aikido or Judo, and upon admission you will
be required to purchase a proper jyo and bokken.
Be advised that you will also be responsible for promotional
payments as you progress in rank, as well as yearly association
dues. Fees for promotions will be posted on your monthly statement,
and yearly dues are billed separately. All fees, including
monthly dues, international dues, and promotions, should be
paid before your next promotion.
If
you have any questions or problems concerning your bill, do
not hesitate to call Nick Lowry, 943-6246.
